Wash the Wally Face

This face! His sweet little face is such a joy in my life. I have a simple daily ritual of washing this face that I usually take for granted, but this morning I thought about it a little and marveled at the love of thirty seconds, forty-five? I stand at the kitchen sink and dampen a cloth with warm water. I call, "Wally, come wash your face." and he runs to my feet. We do the little dance of settle, sit, settle, sit, now close your eyes and I gently wash the sleep from the corners of each eye. He nibbles the corner of the cloth and bats his very long lashes. Then he is off to start his day. Thirty seconds, forty-five?
I love dogs! Others say dogs don't know many words, but I know they do. They also really listen!
And what an adorable face it is! I love your morning ritual with Wally!
He's a cutie patootie! so sweet.
Awww...so sweet. Yes, how many little moments do we experience so routinely throughout the day that with a little mindfulness could be really joyful and even more meaningful. I love that Wally comes running to have his face washed. <3
