I was supposed to be cleaning my kitchen this morning but then I heard a notification on my phone - "The Girls" text thread which is all of my sisters and my nieces. Then a flurry of notifications. So I grabbed the phone to see what they were gabbing about. It was one of my sisters telling us to check out the bald eagle cam at Duke Farms. She works as a teacher's aide in an elementary school and they have been tuning in to watch the two chicks that were hatched. So of course I tuned in because I was procrastinating on cleaning the kitchen. And I am now hooked. LOL I started to watch at just the right time too, because lunch was being served. I couldn't tell what it was but it was amazing! I will be checking in on them often now that I have discovered this fascinating glimpse into the daily lives of eagles. Check it out here: Duke Farms Eagle Cam

P.S. I did finally clean the kitchen

It is the coolest. Mostly boring but when the parents return it is quite spectacular at times

Isn't it fun? When I first tuned in I thought oh how sweet! Then the mama swept in and it got real raptor real quick - lol And that nest is over 8 feet in diameter! Those babies are pretty big. I love it
